Meet the cast of The Boy In The Bathroom
_Ben Cassidy (David) - Ben is very excited to make his Peppermint Creek debut in The Boy in the Bathroom. He has played several roles in performances at Okemos throughout the past few years, including Ezekiel Cheever in The Crucible and Ricky in The Wedding Singer. Ben was also recently seen last winter as Brad in Riverwalk's production of Hairspray and as a gambler and Havana dancer in HDCP's Guys and Dolls.
Ben is studying Communications and is hoping to some day pursue a
career in social media. He would like to thank his friends and family
for their continued support, and hopes you enjoy the show!
_Emily McKay (Julie) - Emily
is thrilled to be in her first production at Peppermint Creek!
Previously, you might have seen her at Riverwalk as the Magic Singing
Harp in Jack and the Beanstalk. Other than that, Emily can often be seen on the Okemos High School stage in roles such as Mayzie La Bird in Seussical the Musical, Julia in The Wedding Singer, Poppy in Noises Off!, and Georgia in Curtains.
Emily has also participate in a number of community theatre shows in
the Kalamazoo area, as well as being involved in many camps and
workshops including Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and the Take it From the
Top! workshop at the Wharton Center. Emily would like to thank
everyone involved with this amazing show, her loving family, and Chad
DeKatch, without whom she would not be performing. Enjoy the show!
_Judith Evans (Pam)
- Judith has taught music for over 35 years and earned a Bachelors of
Music-Music Therapy, Music-Applied Voice, a Master of Music-Applied
Voice from MSU, and a K-12 Teacher Certification from Spring Arbor
University. She taught at Lansing Community College for 20 years before
being hired to build a choral program at Lansing Everett High School.
Ms. Evans has performed in numerous recitals, operas, musical theater
and dramatic productions, as well as having her own jazz combo. One
highlight was performing as Princess Puffer in The Mystery of Edwin
Drood opposite Douglas Campbell, co-founder of the Stratford Theatre.
Ms. Evans is a section leader/soloist at Plymouth Congregational Church,
maintains a large private studio of high school students, and lives in
Lansing with her husband, dogs, and a very naughty cat.
Kathleen Egan (Stage Manager) - Kathleen graduated from Albion College with a double major in Communications and Theater. While at Albion she stage managed, choreographed You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, performed in many productions, earning a KCACTF Irene Ryan nomination and worked in the costume shop. She has also completed internships with the Royal Court Theater in London, England's press department and with O’Connor Casting in Chicago. Kathleen is excited to be a part of The Boy in the Bathroom, and would like to thank Chad, and the wonderful cast for the hard work they put in and the opportunity to join in!
